Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current SLP State License (Illinois) and Professional Educator License (PEL) required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in SLP (CCC-SLP)
- Previous experience in a school setting strongly preferred
- Ability to work effectively with PreK–8 student populations, families, and team members
- Strong communication, organization, and problem-solving skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct therapy and evaluations to students with speech and language needs, supporting their Individualized Education Program (IEP) goals
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary teams to develop and implement intervention plans
- Participate in eligibility, IEP, and student support meetings as a valued resource
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Engage in ongoing communication with parents and caregivers to foster student progress and partnership
- Adhere to district policies, state and federal regulations, and best practices in school-based SLP services
