Key Qualifications:
- Current Illinois Speech-Language Pathology credentials (IL SLP credentials required)
- Experience or strong interest in school-based SLP services
- Proficiency or willingness to learn about Assistive and Augmentative Communication (AAC) devices
- Background or competency in supporting students within low-incidence programming
- Adaptability and collaborative spirit to work with teachers, families, and a multidisciplinary team
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide evaluations, direct therapy, and progress monitoring for a varied caseload of K-12 students
- Collaborate with educators and parents to develop and implement IEP goals
- Implement AAC strategies and support students using communication devices
- Document services and maintain compliance with applicable regulations and best practices
- Serve as a resource on communication needs and interventions for staff and families
