Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - El Cajon, CA
Step into a dynamic school-based role dedicated to supporting students across elementary and some middle school ages for the upcoming 2026-27 academic year. This contract position offers the opportunity to work at one to two school locations, providing speech-language therapy services that make a genuine difference in children's lives. The setting values both experienced Speech-Language Pathologists with CCC-SLP as well as motivated Clinical Fellows ready to launch their careers.
With consistent daytime hours from 7:30am to 3:00pm, this position is full time (up to 40 hours per week), with flexibility to consider candidates interested in part time schedules. You will primarily serve elementary students, with opportunities to collaborate with a middle school team as well.
Qualifications and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Valid licensure to practice in California (or eligibility to obtain)
- CCC-SLP preferred, but outstanding Clinical Fellows are encouraged and supported
- Strong clinical experience in school settings, pediatric therapy, teletherapy, or healthcare-focused SLP roles
- Comfort working with diverse learners and collaborating with multidisciplinary school teams
- Excellent communication and documentation skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and direct intervention for students with communication challenges
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans, setting measurable goals
- Use teletherapy and on-site modalities as needed
- Consult with families, teachers, and staff to optimize student outcomes
- Maintain timely, compliant documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
