Desired Background:
- Master’s degree in Speech Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Current, active Speech Language Pathologist state license
- Previous experience providing speech therapy in a school setting strongly preferred
- Understanding of developmentally appropriate practices for PK–1st grade children
- Excellent collaboration skills and a proactive approach to working with teachers and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide both individual and group speech-language therapy for PK-1st grade students
- Conduct evaluations and develop tailored intervention plans based on student needs
- Document student progress, maintain accurate records, and contribute to IEP meetings
- Collaborate with classroom teachers and special education teams to support communication goals in the classroom
- Engage parents and caregivers to encourage carryover of skills at home
- Participate in professional development to stay current on best practices
