This position centers on supporting approximately 55 children as they work to overcome communication barriers associated with speech disorders and language delays throughout the 2022-2023 academic year.
You’ll play an essential role in helping students achieve their educational goals by identifying needs, providing targeted therapy, and collaborating closely with teachers and families. Qualifications:
- Active Delaware State Speech-Language Pathology license required
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) mandatory; CFYs are encouraged to apply
- Pediatric and school-based SLP experience is highly valued
- SLP supervision experience a plus
- Strong communication and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess students’ eligibility for speech and language services in areas including articulation/phonology, voice, fluency, and language
- Complete and review IEPs annually; conduct initial assessments and required re-evaluations
- Schedule and deliver both group and individual therapy
- Collaborate with teachers and parents, providing effective strategies for communicative challenges and educational accommodations
- Maintain documentation and adhere to school and state guidelines
