Step into a dynamic environment supporting student development as a Speech Language Pathologist in the beautiful Florida Panhandle. This full-time, school-based contract opportunity runs from August 11, 2026, to June 1, 2027, offering up to 37.5 hours per week. You’ll work on-site at either a single school or split your expertise between two campuses—serving pre-K through young adult ages, depending on the caseload assigned. Locations include supportive educational settings in Crestview and Fort Walton, all situated close to Destin’s stunning coastline.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Florida Department of Health Provisional SLP License (required)
- Prior school-based Speech Language Pathologist experience (strongly preferred)
- Ability to work on-site; virtual/remote placements are not available for this role
- Flexibility to be assigned to either one school or serve as an itinerant therapist between two schools, based on departmental and student needs
- Completion of required fingerprinting and clearance through the AHCA Clearinghouse, with JLA badge issued prior to the start date
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students across assigned campuses
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized treatment plans for a diverse caseload
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to support student growth and communication goals
- Maintain detailed records and contribute to IEP development
- Adapt therapy strategies and schedules as necessary to best serve varied student populations
