Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist - Desert Hot Springs, California

Make a difference in the lives of students as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist in the vibrant Palm Desert region. You'll have the opportunity to put your expertise to work in multiple school settings and play a vital role during the 2025-2026 school year.
Key Qualifications & Experience:
- Valid CA SLP license or CA CTC required
- Background in school-based SLP services
- Open to experienced SLPs and Clinical Fellows (CFY)
- Proficiency with IEP development, evaluations, and both direct and indirect therapy services
- Experience in pediatric speech-language pathology or a strong interest in school-aged populations
- Familiarity with providing therapy to mixed caseloads; flexibility regarding final age/grade assignments
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech-language services to students across multiple campuses
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and assessments
- Develop, implement, and monitor progress on individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide both direct therapy sessions and consultative (indirect) support as required
- Collaborate with educational staff, caregivers, and other specialists to ensure student success
- Maintain thorough documentation and adhere to all district and legal compliance standards
Contract Details & Setting:
- Multiple Speech-Language Pathologist openings available
- School-based contract role for the 2025-2026 academic year
- Full-time, 37.5 hours per week
- Assignments may span several schools with caseload and specific age groups finalized closer to the start date
- Please note, district supervision support such as Para, RBT, CNA, or LPN is not provided
