School Speech Language Pathologist - Oakland, California

This contract role requires a skilled Speech-Language Pathology Assistant (SLPA) holding a current California SLPA License, eager to impact young learners this academic year. You’ll collaborate with Speech-Language Pathologists to deliver high-quality therapy and help students achieve their communication goals in a supportive environment.
Start making a difference right away—this part-time position begins ASAP and runs through the end of the school year. You’ll enjoy a pay range between $35 and $45 per hour, along with robust employee support and benefits.
Qualifications:
- Active California SLPA License required
- Experience in schools or pediatric settings preferred
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to implement individualized education plans (IEPs) under supervision
- Organizational skills to maintain thorough documentation
- Familiarity with SLP-CCC protocols is a plus
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech-language therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Assist with screenings, evaluations, and progress monitoring
- Collaborate with SLPs, teachers, and special education staff
- Document student progress and maintain accurate records
- Participate in team meetings as needed
- Deliver therapy both individually and in small group sessions
