Step into a fulfilling contract opportunity supporting students as a part-time Speech-Language Pathologist. This role, covering a maternity leave, allows you to make a meaningful impact while working with a vibrant high school caseload. The assignment is set to begin October 4th, 2026, and runs through December 23rd, 2026—with the valuable option to start 1–2 weeks earlier for a thorough transition and shadowing experience with the current SLP.
Your schedule will be Monday, Tuesday, and Thursday, averaging about 20 hours per week, with flexibility based on your ability to efficiently manage your students' needs. You’ll handle a caseload of 46 students, providing both consultative and direct services in a school-based setting. This position requires strong collaboration skills, clinical expertise, and the ability to manage a diverse set of student needs.
Desired Qualifications & Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Active state licensure for SLP in Kansas
- Previous school-based SLP experience is highly valued
- Ability to provide both consultative and direct therapy services
- Excellent communication skills for collaborating with staff, students, and families
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide exceptional speech and language services to students grades 9-12
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and monitor progress
- Engage in collaboration with teachers, parents, and other professionals
- Complete required documentation efficiently and accurately
- Participate in IEP meetings and other school functions as needed
