Desired Skills and Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Current Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required, but strong Clinical Fellow (CF) candidates will be considered
- Valid licensure to practice as an SLP in Texas or eligibility to obtain
- Previous experience working in school settings preferred
- Ability to support students with diverse communication disorders
- Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills
Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language therapy to students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments to diagnose speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Collaborate with educators, families, and other support staff to develop and implement effective intervention strategies
- Maintain accurate and timely documentation of services provided and student progress
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to multidisciplinary team planning
- Remain current with best practices and legal requirements in school-based speech therapy
