Desired Background and Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology and current ASHA certification
- Georgia SLP licensure (or eligibility to obtain)
- Direct experience providing school-based speech-language services across a wide range of grade levels (Pre K–12)
- Familiarity with documenting services using platforms such as Paddynet
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills, including engaging with parents, school staff, and administration via multiple channels (email, phone, progress reports, school systems)
- Proficiency in scheduling meetings, therapy sessions, and parent conferences using Google Calendar
- Track record of completing and maintaining thorough documentation for evaluations, eligibility determinations, IEPs, and data reviews
Key Responsibilities:
- Deliver individualized speech-language therapy services, either at a single campus or across multiple school sites (depending on the position)
- Manage a caseload of approximately 45–55 students, ensuring quality interventions and timely documentation
- Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to support students’ IEP goals
- Communicate regularly with parents and staff, providing progress updates and participating in IEP meetings
- For compensatory services positions, travel between schools is required and services may extend through a June summer session
