Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid state SLP licensure or eligibility
- Certificate of Clinical Competence or CFY candidates considered
- Experience providing therapy in school-based settings
- Solid understanding of IEP processes and best practices
- Ability to adapt strategies for a range of student abilities and ages
Primary Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students ages elementary through high school
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Provide direct therapy services individually and in groups, tailored to students’ specific needs
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop student goals and maximize success
- Maintain thorough records of student progress according to district and state requirements
- Consult and problem-solve with educational teams across four buildings to coordinate care and transitions
