Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Danbury, Connecticut

This school-based contract position is seeking a full-time, dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist who is eager to work with elementary-aged students on-site throughout the school year. With an immediate start and coverage through the end of the academic year, you’ll be immersed in a supportive, collaborative setting designed to help you grow professionally.
Ideal candidates will bring experience in pediatric speech therapy, including SLP-CCC or SLP-CFY, and the desire to thrive in a school environment. Supervision for Clinical Fellows (CFs) is available, providing a valuable mentorship and professional growth experience for new graduates ready to embark on their SLP journey.
Qualifications:
- Hold a valid and active 061 (Education) certification
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Eligible for, or hold, a Connecticut SLP license
- Prior experience with elementary or pediatric caseloads preferred
- Comfortable with on-site work in a school setting
- Strong communication and organizational skills
- Open to mentoring and ongoing professional learning
Responsibilities include:
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and assessments
- Developing and implementing individualized treatment plans
- Collaborating with teachers, staff, and families to support student success
- Maintaining clear and up-to-date documentation in accordance with school requirements
- Participating in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team planning
- Offering support and, if qualified, supervision to Clinical Fellows
