School Speech Language Pathologist - Sugar Land, Texas
Enhance the lives of students as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist or Speech-Language Pathology Assistant for the upcoming 26/27 academic year. This school-based, on-site contract opportunity invites passionate SLP or SLPA professionals with an active Texas license to deliver high-quality therapeutic services and collaborate with educational teams, making a meaningful impact in a vibrant academic environment.
You’ll play a vital role supporting students’ communication needs, participating in IEP meetings, and working with educators to tailor interventions for student growth. Candidates are interviewed prior to assignment, and placements are determined closer to the start of the school year. This is a rewarding chance to develop your skills over a full academic cycle (7/30/26 – 5/28/27).
Ideal Candidates Will Have:
- A valid Texas SLP or SLPA license (must be submitted with application)
- Previous experience in a school-based setting as an SLP or SLPA
- Ability to provide therapy and intervention independently—SLPAs must have full licensure; supervision hours are not offered
- Strong communication abilities and collaborative spirit
- On-site availability with reliable transportation
- Flexibility and adaptability to work in varied educational settings
In this role, you’ll:
- Conduct assessments, develop intervention plans, and implement therapy for students
- Collaborate with teachers, families, and school teams
- Help monitor progress and document student outcomes
- Attend and participate in school meetings and professional development
