Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure or eligibility as an SLP
- Prior experience with school-age children, especially in a K-12 setting
- Skilled in individualized assessment, treatment planning, and direct therapy
- Comfortable working 1:1 as well as partnering with teachers and multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication and organizational abilities
- Dedicated, compassionate, and adaptable to working with children of different ages and needs
Responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments for students in grades K-12
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) based on unique student needs
- Provide 1:1 therapy sessions to support speech and language development
- Work collaboratively with classroom teachers, special educators, and families
- Maintain thorough documentation of services provided and student progress
- Attend meetings, contribute to IEP teams, and assist in goal setting for student success
- Stay up to date on best practices for pediatric speech therapy in educational settings
