K-5 Elementary School-Based Speech Language Pathologist | Cottage Grove, Oregon

Make a difference supporting elementary students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dedicated school environment. This contract role offers the opportunity to work with students in grades K-5, with various positions available across K-12 settings and possible opportunities for Extended School Year (ESY) assignments. Contribute your expertise to help students develop crucial communication skills in a supportive educational atmosphere. Located close to Cottage Grove, OR, the position offers a rewarding and collaborative work experience.
Candidates will earn between $36.52 and $50.62 per hour, commensurate with experience.
Qualifications and Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current state licensure or eligibility for licensure as an SLP
- Experience working with elementary children (K-5) strongly preferred
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Ability to manage a diverse student caseload
- Strong collaboration and communication skills with families, staff, and other professionals
- Experience working across K-12 populations is a plus
Key Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and provide interventions for students with speech, language, and communication needs
- Develop and implement individualized goals as part of the IEP process
- Collaborate with teachers, administrators, and families to maximize student outcomes
- Monitor progress and adjust treatment plans as needed
- Maintain accurate records and documentation for compliance
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings and support team-based intervention planning
