A rewarding opportunity is available for dedicated Speech Language Pathologists committed to making a positive difference in K-8 students’ lives. This full-time, school-based contract role blends hands-on campus engagement with the convenience of a hybrid schedule, supporting schools near Converse, TX. As an SLP, you’ll play a critical role in supervising an SLP-A, managing cases, conducting evaluations, and fostering collaborative relationships on campus.
Position Details:
- Contract runs August 12, 2026 – May 26, 2027
- 40 hours weekly; 7:30 a.m. – 4:00 p.m., including 8 paid hours per day with a 30-minute unpaid lunch
- Work primarily across two campuses with a caseload of approximately 110 K-8 students
- Hybrid format: initial three days on-site per week, transitioning to two, allowing for meaningful supervision and school partnerships
- Bilingual and monolingual professionals are encouraged to apply
Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP licensure from the Texas Department of Licensing and Regulation (TDLR)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred
- Background working in a school setting with K-8 or similar populations
- Experience supervising or mentoring SLP-As highly valued
- Strong interpersonal skills to engage with campus teams and administrators
- Ability to complete evaluations, case manage, and ensure compliance
Key Responsibilities:
- Supervise SLP-A and oversee therapy delivered to students
- Conduct assessments, write reports, and develop/monitor treatment plans
- Collaborate frequently with teachers, administrators, and parents
- Maintain accurate records in accordance with district and state requirements
- Participate actively in campus life and build positive relationships
