Step into a vital role as a Speech-Language Pathologist supporting K-8 students for the upcoming school year. With a start date of August 12, 2026, and contract through May 26, 2027, this full-time position offers a unique hybrid schedule near Converse, TX. You’ll be an essential collaborator, providing supervision and evaluation while building strong relationships within the school community.
Key Qualifications:
- Active Texas SLP license from the Texas Dept. of Licensing and Regulation
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred (ASHA certificate if hours are logged)
- Experience in schools, supporting K-8 populations, preferred
- Bilingual or monolingual SLPs welcome
- Previous supervisory experience (SLP-A supervision) highly valued
- Excellent communication and rapport-building skills with administrators, staff, and students
Responsibilities:
- Supervise and collaborate with an SLP-A, guiding daily therapy provision and overseeing caseload management
- Support K-8 students across two campuses — Graebner Elementary and Poe Middle School – with a caseload of approximately 110 students
- Conduct assessments, case management, and all necessary documentation
- Serve on site at least two days per week (more initially, transitioning after rapport is built)
- Establish positive, effective relationships with campus administrators
- Ensure adherence to all relevant state and district policies and procedures
- Participate in credentialing and internal pre-screen interviews as required
