Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Columbus, Ohio
Make a meaningful difference in the lives of children by supporting communication and language development in an elementary school setting near Columbus, OH. This full-time, contracted Speech-Language Pathologist position involves working 37.5 hours per week with an engaging caseload of approximately 65 elementary students. Your expertise will shape young learners’ achievement through evidence-based interventions, collaboration with educators, and compassionate care. The caseload is weighted by severity and need, giving you the chance to make a direct impact where it’s needed most.
Applicants should possess a current SLP license, as well as ODE certification. CFY candidates and those with their CCCs are encouraged to apply! This is an in-person opportunity, allowing you to build rapport and provide hands-on support for students and staff.
What we’re looking for:
- Valid Speech-Language Pathology license and ODE certification required
- Experience or strong interest in elementary school settings
- Proficiency in pediatric SLP assessment, therapy, and IEP documentation
- Ability to manage a dynamic caseload and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
- Strong communication, organizational, and advocacy skills
- All levels of experience considered, including CFY
Key responsibilities:
- Conduct speech, language, and communication assessments
- Create and implement individualized therapy plans
- Maintain accurate progress documentation and contribute to IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers and families to maximize student outcomes
- Provide direct therapy in a supportive, structured environment
- Adapt and prioritize interventions based on student needs
