Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct evaluations and diagnoses of speech, language, and communication disorders in elementary-age students
- Develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), collaborating effectively with educators, families, and support staff
- Deliver both direct therapy and classroom-based support tailored to students’ needs
- Uphold thorough, accurate records and progress reports in line with state and federal requirements
- Actively participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team activities
Preferred Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Valid Virginia SLP licensure or eligibility to obtain
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) highly valued
- Previous experience with elementary populations preferred, though candidates eager to support younger learners will be considered
