Your primary focus will be collaborating with educational professionals and families to maximize student potential through individualized, evidence-based interventions.
What you'll bring:
- A Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- A valid Virginia SLP license (or eligibility to acquire one)
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP), preferred
- Experience supporting elementary-aged children, ideally in a school setting
- Strong skills in evaluation, therapy planning, and clear communication
What you’ll do:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments to evaluate, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders
- Design and implement Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) in collaboration with multidisciplinary teams
- Deliver both direct therapy sessions and integrated classroom-based support
- Maintain detailed documentation and progress reports in accordance with state and federal guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and school-based conferences to advocate for students’ needs
