Step into an engaging summer opportunity supporting students as a Speech-Language Pathologist in a dynamic school environment. From July 1st to July 30th, you'll join a collaborative effort dedicated to enhancing communication skills for students during Extended School Year (ESY).
Your mornings will be well-structured, working Monday through Friday from 8 AM to 12:30 PM. The assignment covers several schools, including West Crawford Elementary, Dunbar Township Elementary, Springfield Elementary, and Connellsville Area High School. With a manageable caseload of 56 students across these sites, you will make a lasting impact while enjoying variety in your daily routine.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Sciences and Disorders
- Valid and current Pennsylvania SLP Educator Certification
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Prior experience providing SLP services in school settings is preferred
- Ability to adapt therapy approaches to diverse student needs
- Commitment to traveling to multiple schools within the district each day
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide targeted speech-language therapy to students according to their Individualized Education Plans (IEPs)
- Conduct assessments and document progress throughout the ESY program
- Collaborate with other education professionals, parents, and caregivers to support student goals
- Engage in team meetings and contribute to a supportive, positive educational environment
- Maintain timely, accurate paperwork and reporting
