Speech and Language Pathologist - Clarks Summit, PA
Step into a rewarding contract opportunity supporting students in the Clarks Summit, PA area as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time, onsite position offers 35 hours per week and begins as soon as possible, extending through August 7, 2026. Part-time candidates are also welcome to apply. Initially, you’ll provide coverage for maternity leaves in Lackawanna County, later transitioning in the spring to work with itinerant students in the Dunmore, PA area.
Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Must hold current CCCs (Certificate of Clinical Competence)
- Active Pennsylvania SLP licensure required
- Experience working in school settings is essential
- Capability to obtain and complete all required PA clearances
- Reliable transportation to travel between assignments and sites
- Comfortable working onsite (teletherapy is not an option for this role)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech/language therapy services to students as outlined in their IEPs
- Perform comprehensive evaluations and re-evaluations, documenting all findings
- Collaborate with other educators, service providers, and families to support each child’s progress
- Maintain detailed and compliant documentation, including progress reports and session notes
- Assist in developing effective communication strategies and interventions tailored to student needs
