School Speech Language Pathologist - Citrus Heights, California
Step into an engaging opportunity supporting students across elementary and high school ages as a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) in a dynamic school environment on a contract basis. This position is ideal for professionals passionate about making a real impact, offering a versatile weekly schedule across several sites.
You’ll work full-time through the end of the school year, starting as soon as possible. Your expertise will be called upon two days per week at an elementary setting in Rancho Cordova, one day at an alternative high school and 18-22 community transition program, and one day each at two elementary schools in Folsom. This variety ensures each day brings meaningful new challenges and rewards as you collaborate with caring educators and motivated students.
What We’re Searching For:
- Current Speech-Language Pathologist license and ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (SLP-CCC)
- Experience with school-aged populations, including elementary and high school students
- Strong communication and collaboration skills with multidisciplinary teams
- Adaptability when working across multiple campuses and student needs
- Commitment to evidence-based practices and IEP documentation
What the Role Entails:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments; develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver direct and consultative therapy services per student goals
- Maintain clear and timely documentation in line with school and state guidelines
- Collaborate closely with teachers, specialists, and families
- Support a range of students, including those in elementary and community-based transition settings
