Virtual Illinois Speech Language Pathologist
VocoVision is looking for a compassionate and skilled Speech-Language Pathologist in Illinois to join our team in a fully remote role. As a Virtual SLP, you will provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students on caseloads that vary for all ages dealing with speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders. This position offers the flexibility of working from home while making a meaningful difference in the lives of students!
Key Responsibilities:
- Perform thorough virtual evaluations to diagnose speech, language, communication, and swallowing disorders in individuals across the lifespan.
- Administer standardized assessments, observe students, and gather information from families and teachers to assess the nature and severity of disorders.
- Develop and implement individualized educational plans (IEP's) tailored to each student's needs.
- Provide therapy through virtual platforms, ensuring a high level of engagement and support.
Qualifications:
- Active ASHA Certification (CCC)
- Active Speech Pathology licensure for the state of Illinois
- (Out of State Applicants: Must hold active license for state of residency as well as practicing state)
- Active Professional Educator License (PEL) for Illinois through the Illinois State Board of Education (ISBE)
- Required: 2 years’ experience in school-based settings as a fully licensed SLP.
- Comfort and proficiency with technology, with the ability to pass a tech screening for remote work.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills to engage effectively with parents, teachers and multidisciplinary teams.
