Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Active Illinois SLP license or eligibility for licensure
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC) or those completing their Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) encouraged to apply
- Prior experience or strong interest in working in a school environment, specifically with middle school-aged children
- Bilingual skills highly valued, though not required
- Excellent communication, collaboration, and problem-solving skills
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide assessment, diagnosis, and therapy services to middle school students, supporting speech, language, voice, and fluency needs
- Develop individualized treatment plans and IEP goals in collaboration with teachers, families, and other specialists
- Maintain accurate and timely case documentation and progress reports
- Consult and collaborate with educational staff to support student learning and classroom participation
- Engage in ongoing professional development to stay current with evidence-based practices in school speech-language pathology
- Participate in case conferences, parent meetings, and IEP review sessions as needed
