Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) in Chicago, IL
Step into an impactful contract opportunity supporting students for the fall semester in a school-based speech-language pathology role near Chicago. This maternity leave coverage position is ideal for an experienced SLP ready to make a difference in K-12 settings.
This assignment runs from mid-September through mid-December and offers a full-time schedule of 37.5 hours per week. Work closely with a range of students, collaborating with teachers and support staff to provide direct therapy, evaluation, and support services.
Qualifications:
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active SLP license in Illinois
- Experience in a school-based setting with K-12 populations
- Eligible to work independently; Clinical Fellows cannot be considered for this assignment
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage a varied caseload and adapt approaches to meet individual student needs
Responsibilities:
- Deliver diagnostic and therapeutic SLP services to K-12 students
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Work as a part of a multidisciplinary team to support student development
- Maintain thorough records and prepare progress reports as required
- Consult with teachers, families, and staff to provide strategies and resources for student success
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to goal planning
