A contract opportunity is available for a skilled Speech-Language Pathologist to serve students across grades EC-8 in a dynamic school environment near Chicago, IL. This position is on-site only and will begin in mid-August, running through late May. You’ll partner with another SLP to provide direct speech and language services to a district-wide caseload totaling around 70 students. Full compliance with union guidelines is required, and interview timelines may be determined by union scheduling in May.
Qualifications:
- Valid Illinois PEL (Professional Educator License)
- Speech-Language Pathologist license from IDFPR
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP)
- School-based SLP experience preferred
- ISBE number required for consideration
- Demonstrated ability to collaborate and communicate with multidisciplinary teams
Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a diverse caseload, approximately 45 students as a full-time SLP and 25 as a part-time SLP
- Conduct evaluations, develop individualized education plans (IEPs), and maintain thorough documentation
- Collaborate with teachers, staff, and families to support student outcomes
- Comply with school and union policies, ensuring all state and district guidelines are met
- Participate in team meetings, providing progress updates and recommendations
