Step into a dynamic school-based role working with a diverse group of students ranging from ages 3 to 22 in a self-contained special education program. This full-time contract position offers the unique opportunity to provide valuable speech-language services to a caseload of 18 students, fostering their communication development in both onsite and teletherapy formats.

Ideal candidates have a strong foundation in pediatric speech-language pathology, with demonstrated expertise in serving school populations and supporting students with a variety of communication needs. Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) candidates and those with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) credentials are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications & Skills:

  • Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or related field
  • Licensed SLP (active Illinois state licensure or eligibility)
  • CCC-SLP or CFY status accepted
  • Experience in pediatric, school-based, or healthcare settings
  • Familiarity with teletherapy platforms (preferred)
  • Strong understanding of special education settings and IEP processes
  • Exceptional communication, collaboration, and organizational abilities

Responsibilities & Duties:

  • Provide speech-language therapy to students in a self-contained SPED program (ages 3-22)
  • Manage a caseload of 18 students with varying speech and language needs
  • Develop and implement IEP goals in partnership with educators and families
  • Utilize diverse therapy strategies, including both in-person and teletherapy modalities
  • Conduct assessments, maintain accurate documentation, and participate in IEP meetings
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure comprehensive student support
