Key Qualifications:
- Licensed as an SLP in North Carolina (ASHA CCC a plus; SLP-CFs are encouraged to apply)
- Prior experience in school settings preferred
- Comfortable working with students on the autism spectrum and those with low cognitive abilities
- Strong communication skills and a collaborative spirit
- Flexibility to work with varied caseloads, with details tailored to your strengths during the interview process
- District supervision available for CFs (Supervision is not available for SLPAs)
Primary Responsibilities:
- Deliver speech and language therapy to a maximum of 35 students, fostering measurable growth and development
- Work primarily in schools located throughout the eastern and southern sections of the district
- Develop and implement individualized treatment plans consistent with IEP goals
- Collaborate with educators and families to promote student success
- Maintain accurate records, progress notes, and compliance with state and district guidelines
- Attend team meetings, evaluations, and professional development sessions as required
