School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Lexington, North Carolina

This contract, full-time position spans the full academic year, with placements available primarily in the eastern or southern regions of the district. The assignment runs from August 12, 2026, through June 11, 2027, offering 35 to 37.5 hours each week.
Candidates will find flexibility regarding caseload preferences, with a cap of 35 students—allowing you to focus on providing high-quality, individualized care. Those with expertise supporting students with Autism (AU) and low cognitive disabilities are especially encouraged to apply, as these skill sets are particularly valued by the district. Clinical Fellows (SLP-CF) are welcome to apply, with district supervision available to foster professional growth. Please note, at this time, candidates holding only the SLPA credential are not being considered.
Key Qualifications:
- Active North Carolina SLP license (required)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred, though SLP-CFs are encouraged
- Experience in school-based settings working with K-12 populations
- Knowledge or experience with autism and low cognitive disabilities is highly desired
- Strong commitment to collaborative, multidisciplinary team approaches
Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Deliver evidence-based therapy to students, tailored to speech, language, and communication needs
- Engage regularly with families and staff to promote student success
