Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Cicero, IL
This full-time Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) position supports a self-contained Special Education (SPED) program serving students ages 3 to 22. Located in Cicero, IL, this contract role offers an exciting opportunity to deliver specialized speech and language services within a school setting.
Responsibilities include evaluating, diagnosing, and treating speech, language, and communication disorders for a caseload of 18 students. You will collaborate closely with educators, therapists, and families to develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to student needs. The role also involves documentation, progress tracking, and participation in multidisciplinary team meetings to ensure comprehensive care and support.
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) in Speech-Language Pathology preferred
- Experience in pediatrics and school-based settings
- Familiarity with teletherapy service delivery is a plus
- Ability to work effectively with diverse student populations in self-contained SPED environments
- Completion of Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) or equivalent
- Knowledge of applicable state and federal education regulations related to special education
