School Speech Language Pathologist - Chesapeake, Virginia

Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP licensure for the state of Virginia is required
- ASHA CCC-SLP or eligibility for Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) welcomed
- Experience delivering speech services in school-based environments, preferably with elementary-aged students
- Strong understanding of IEP development and implementation
- Exceptional communication and collaboration skills with students, families, and multidisciplinary teams
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct and consultative speech-language therapy to elementary students (grades K-5)
- Conduct assessments, develop individualized treatment plans, and document progress in compliance with school and state guidelines
- Participate actively in IEP meetings and contribute expertise to multidisciplinary teams
- Develop engaging therapy activities tailored to students’ individual needs and goals
- Foster a supportive, inclusive classroom environment that champions student growth
- Collaborate regularly with teachers, administrators, and families to optimize student learning outcomes
Position Details:
- 7.33 hours daily, Monday through Friday, full-time contract role
- Serve one elementary school location (Pembroke Elementary) for consistent caseload management
- Caseload exclusively elementary-aged children
