The assignment places you in the vibrant Marlton area, where you'll divide your time between two public school settings. Working within these distinct learning communities allows you to gain professional insights into various workplace practices, develop creative intervention strategies, and collaborate with dedicated educational professionals. In this role, you’ll work with higher-functioning students on the autism spectrum, delivering individualized support that makes a profound impact. Weekdays are structured, providing work-life balance with hours from 8:30am-2:30pm and duties split across two nearby locations.
Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP, CCC credentials required
- Experience working with students on the autism spectrum preferred
- Previous school-based SLP experience is a plus
- Strong communication, documentation, and organizational skills
- Flexibility and adaptability to travel between two school locations
Core Responsibilities:
- Provide direct 1:1 speech therapy sessions (30 minutes each)
- Serve approximately 6-7 students per day
- Assess, plan, and implement individualized treatment goals
- Write progress notes, prepare IEP documentation, and update G&O’s as required
- Collaborate thoughtfully with multidisciplinary teams and educators
