Blazer Jobs is seeking a motivated new graduate Speech-Language Pathologist to begin a Clinical Fellowship in Los Angeles, California. Starting your professional career is a major milestone, and your CFY should be more than simply completing hours. This opportunity provides dedicated CF supervision, mentorship, and professional support while you gain hands-on school-based experience and develop the skills needed for independent clinical practice.
About the Position
The Clinical Fellow will provide speech and language services to students while receiving qualified supervision throughout the fellowship. You’ll gain experience with therapy, assessments, IEPs, documentation, collaboration, and student-centered intervention while working toward your professional certification.
Job Duties
- Provide direct speech and language therapy services to students
- Conduct screenings and assessments under appropriate supervision
- Develop and implement individualized intervention strategies
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation
- Participate in IEP meetings and multidisciplinary team discussions
- Collaborate with teachers, families, administrators, and related service providers
- Implement evidence-based interventions for articulation, language, fluency, social communication, and other needs
- Track required CF hours and maintain fellowship documentation
- Participate in regular CF supervision and professional development
- Maintain compliance with district, state, and federal requirements
Requirements
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Completion of required graduate coursework and supervised clinical practicum
- Eligibility to begin an ASHA Clinical Fellowship
- Eligibility for the appropriate California SLP licensure pathway for supervised clinical practice
- Ability to meet California Speech-Language Pathology and Audiology and Hearing Aid Dispensers Board requirements
- Ability to obtain the appropriate California Commission on Teacher Credentialing credential or authorization for school-based practice, as applicable
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills
- Successful completion of required background screening and district onboarding requirements
