This role calls for a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist—open to both Clinical Fellows (CFY) and those with Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC). Key Qualifications:
- Current California licensure in Speech-Language Pathology
- Eligible for, or possession of, CCC or CFY status
- Experience or interest in school-based settings, especially with mild/moderate student needs
- Strong communication skills for effective collaboration with teachers, staff, and families
- Comfortable working independently—no SLPA support required
- Passion for helping students achieve their communication goals
Primary Responsibilities:
- Provide direct speech and language services to K-12 students in specialized healthcare and SDC environments
- Conduct assessments and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) aligned with mild to moderate disability criteria
- Document progress and maintain accurate records in compliance with school and district guidelines
- Engage with educators, administrators, and families to support optimal student outcomes
- Deliver therapy sessions adapted to each student’s unique strengths and challenges
- Contribute to team meetings and case conferences as needed
