School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Canton, Michigan

In this contract role, you will work a steady 40 hours per week, making a meaningful difference through a combination of evaluations and direct therapeutic services. This position focuses on helping students navigate the fundamentals of learning and communication at a crucial developmental stage.
Requirements and Preferred Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (CCC-SLP) preferred
- Previous experience working in school settings with elementary-age children is highly desirable
- Familiarity with IEPs, speech/language assessments, and documentation
- Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language evaluations for K-3rd grade students
- Deliver individualized and group therapy sessions addressing a range of communication disorders
- Collaborate with teachers, parents, and other professionals to develop effective intervention plans
- Maintain accurate and timely records, including progress notes and IEP documentation
- Participate in multidisciplinary team meetings and contribute expertise for student support plans
