Pediatric Speech Language Pathologist in Cannon Falls, MN
Step into a dynamic educational environment as a contract Speech-Language Pathologist serving middle school students in grades 5 through 7. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a supportive, student-centered setting over the course of the academic term, commencing August 19, 2026, and concluding January 15, 2027 (estimated). With a consistent 40-hour work week, you will play a key role in helping students discover their voices and reach new possibilities.
Ideal candidates bring experience or training in pediatric and school-based speech-language pathology, with knowledge spanning traditional SLP, healthcare-oriented SLP services, and the flexibility to support both seasoned clinicians and clinical fellows (CFY). You will collaborate with teachers, support staff, and families to develop targeted intervention plans that foster communication, social participation, and academic achievement.
Qualifications & Desired Experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or Communication Disorders
- Current state licensure (or eligibility) in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) preferred; strong CFY candidates welcomed
- Prior experience in school-based or pediatric settings highly valued
- Demonstrated ability to design and implement individualized communication therapy plans
Responsibilities:
- Assess, diagnose, and treat speech, language, and communication disorders for middle school students
- Develop and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student goals
- Maintain thorough documentation and progress notes
- Provide direct therapy, consultation, and support within the classroom and through pull-out services
