Key Qualifications:
- Valid SLP license (CCC or CFY accepted)
- Previous experience or coursework in school-based speech-language pathology
- Deep understanding of speech/language disorders in elementary-aged children
- Strong organizational, documentation, and communication skills
- Familiarity with IEP processes and documentation requirements
- Ability to collaborate effectively with interdisciplinary teams
Position Responsibilities:
- Deliver direct speech and language services to students from kindergarten through fifth grade
- Conduct comprehensive assessments and evaluations to determine student needs
- Develop, implement, and update Individualized Education Programs (IEPs)
- Attend and participate in IEP meetings, providing insights and recommendations
- Maintain thorough and accurate records in accordance with state and district guidelines
- Engage in ongoing communication with teachers, staff, and parents to support student progress
- Stay current with best practices in school-based speech therapy
