Qualifications and Experience:
- Active NY Speech-Language Pathologist license is required
- NY Teaching Certification (TSSH or TSSLD)
- Eligible for or current CCC-SLP or CFY status
- Experience in school-based settings or clinical work with children on the Autism spectrum is highly valued
- Strong interpersonal, communication, and organizational skills
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized and group speech-language therapy to students with ASD, tailored to IEP goals
- Assess, diagnose, and document speech, language, and communication disorders
- Collaborate with a multidisciplinary team including teachers, therapists, and families
- Develop and implement treatment plans, monitor progress, and adjust interventions as needed
- Participate in IEP meetings and contribute to educational planning
- Maintain thorough documentation in compliance with school and state requirements
