Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Broomfield, CO
Make a difference in the lives of high school students by supporting communication and academic development as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP). This school-based contract opportunity spans from August 4 to May 21, 2027, providing impactful work throughout the academic year. The role is part-time (0.6 FTE/24 hours per week), with the schedule determined collaboratively with administration. This position requires onsite support at Centaurus and Justice High Schools, located in the Lafayette and Louisville area near Broomfield, Colorado.
Desired Experience & Qualifications:
- Active or in-process Colorado Department of Education (CDE) SLP license (no SLPAs accepted; please include a copy or COOL verification with your resume)
- Certificate of Clinical Competence in Speech-Language Pathology (SLP-CCC) required
- Minimum of one year of classroom-based SLP experience
- Strong collaborative and interpersonal skills to work with students, staff, and families
- Comfortable working onsite throughout the assignment
- Ability to indicate site preference and meet all stated requirements
Key Responsibilities:
- Provide diagnostic and therapeutic services to students with communication disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) to address student needs
- Collaborate with teaching staff, special education teams, and parents
- Maintain accurate records and documentation according to district guidelines
- Support student progress by participating in school meetings and offering professional insights
