About the Opportunity
We are seeking a Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP or Clinical Fellow) to join a supportive Early Intervention school team in the Bronx, New York area. This is an exciting opportunity for an SLP who is looking to start part-time and gradually transition into a full-time role as the caseload grows.
The school is entering its first year as an Early Intervention program and is committed to building a strong, collaborative therapy team. An onsite supervisor is available to provide support and mentorship to Clinical Fellows.
Position Highlights
- Provide speech and language services to Early Intervention students.
- Begin with a few hours per week, with the opportunity to grow toward 40 hours per week as the caseload develops.
- Provide both individual and group therapy sessions.
- Work with approximately 10 students per classroom.
- Each classroom includes a 1:1 teaching assistant for each child as well as a special education teacher.
- Collaborate with teachers, support staff, families, and other related-service professionals.
- Participate in student goal development, progress monitoring, and documentation.
- Benefit from onsite clinical supervision and support, making this a great opportunity for a CF.
- 12-month position with potential for consistent full-time hours as the program expands.
Qualifications
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology or equivalent.
- SLP-CCC or Clinical Fellow (CF) candidates welcome.
- New York SLP licensure or eligibility for licensure.
- Strong communication, organization, and collaboration skills.
- Interest in working with young children in an Early Intervention setting.
- Commitment to helping children develop functional communication skills and reach their developmental potential.
