In this full-time, contract position, you’ll play a vital role in helping children and adolescents develop essential communication skills, making a real impact in their academic and personal growth.
Bring your expertise as an SLP—preferably holding the Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC)—to a dynamic school setting. Candidates must be licensed to practice in New Jersey and ready to start as soon as possible to assist in covering the remainder of the school year.
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting comprehensive speech and language assessments for K-12 students
- Developing and implementing individualized education programs (IEPs) based on each student’s unique needs
- Collaborating with teachers, families, and other specialists to deliver cohesive, student-centered therapy
- Monitoring student progress and adjusting therapy techniques and goals as needed
- Maintaining accurate documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Actively participating in IEP meetings, parent conferences, and interdisciplinary team discussions
- Providing guidance and support to staff and caregivers on effective communication strategies
Qualifications and desired experience:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology
- Active New Jersey SLP license
- SLP-CCC preferred
- Experience in school-based or pediatric settings is highly valued
- Ability to work with diverse age groups, with flexibility as age group assignments are finalized
- Excellent interpersonal and communication skills
