Requirements for Success:
- Current state licensure as a Speech-Language Pathologist
- Background in school-based settings, preferably with adolescent or middle school populations
- Strong understanding of educational IEP processes and relevant documentation
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills when working with students, staff, and families
- Ability to adapt therapeutic strategies to meet diverse student needs
- Collaborative approach with multidisciplinary teams
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive speech and language assessments for middle school students
- Develop, implement, and monitor individualized treatment plans in accordance with student IEPs
- Deliver direct and consultative speech therapy services within classroom and small group settings
- Participate in multidisciplinary meetings, contributing expertise to student planning and progress tracking
- Maintain timely records and documentation in compliance with district and state guidelines
- Offer support and training to teachers and families, promoting effective communication strategies across school environments
