A school-based Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP) with CCC certification is needed to cover a maternity leave assignment in Bridgeport, CT. Qualifications:
- Valid State Initial Educator Teacher Certification with Special Endorsement in Speech-Language Pathology
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) required
- Prior experience working as an SLP in schools; no new graduates accepted
- Ability to manage caseloads ranging from 50 to 60 students, with potential for caseload growth
Position Details:
- Assignment Dates: March 9, 2026 – June 18, 2026
- Full-time position: 37.5 hours per week, 5 days per week
- Age Group: Kindergarten through 8th grade
- Caseload: 50-60 students initially, with possibility to increase as the school year progresses
- Coverage of maternity leave for the remainder of the academic year
Responsibilities:
- Provide individualized speech and language therapy to students across K-8 grade levels
- Develop and implement evidence-based treatment plans aligned with school requirements
- Monitor student progress and maintain accurate documentation of therapy sessions
- Collaborate with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams to support student success
