Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) - Bridgeport, CT
Seeking an experienced Speech-Language Pathologist (SLP-CCC) eager to make a meaningful difference in the lives of students in the Bridgeport, CT area. This is a full-time, contract opportunity, providing 32.5 hours per week working across a K-12 caseload. Your expertise will directly support students’ communication, language, and academic success through direct therapy and collaboration with educators and families.
Ideal background and qualifications:
- Active SLP-CCC certification; eligible for Connecticut licensure
- Previous experience in a school setting and comfort with K-12 populations
- Strong communication, organizational, and documentation skills
- Ability to adapt therapy techniques to varied learning and developmental needs
- Team-oriented, professional, and passionate about student progress
Your responsibilities will include:
- Conducting screenings, evaluations, and individualized speech, language, and communication therapy sessions
- Developing and implementing Individualized Education Programs (IEPs) and collaborating at IEP meetings
- Partnering with teachers, parents, and other support staff to carry out classroom strategies and promote generalization of skills
- Maintaining detailed and timely treatment records and progress notes
- Participating in multidisciplinary teams for best student outcomes
