Work in collaboration with a dedicated SLPA who assists with the caseload, providing essential speech-language services to young learners. Key Qualifications:
- Active license from the Massachusetts Department of Elementary and Secondary Education in Speech and Hearing Disabilities (all levels)
- Licensed (or eligibility for licensure) by the Massachusetts Board of Allied Health
- Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) from the American Speech-Language-Hearing Association (ASHA)
- Previous experience working in schools, especially at the elementary level
- Strong collaboration and communication abilities
- CFs will not be considered for this opportunity
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations and deliver therapy for elementary students, addressing diverse speech/language needs
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs)
- Document progress, monitor outcomes, and communicate with families and school team members
- Supervise and collaborate with an on-site SLPA to provide seamless support to students
- Attend scheduled meetings and contribute to a positive, student-centered school environment
This contract offers approximately 34 hours per week, with hours set from 7:45 am to 2:33 pm, Monday through Friday. The caseload is manageable, and you'll have support from an SLPA, making this an excellent opportunity to focus on direct, meaningful interventions.
