Key Qualifications:
- Master’s degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited program
- Current ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) or Clinical Fellow considered
- Active New Mexico SLP license (or willingness to obtain before start)
- Experience providing speech and language services in a school or pediatric setting strongly preferred
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills with teachers, parents, and staff
- Organizational ability to support a moderate caseload across multiple sites
Role Responsibilities:
- Evaluate, diagnose, and treat students with speech, language, voice, and fluency disorders
- Develop and implement individualized education plans (IEPs) for students
- Provide direct therapy, document progress, and participate in IEP meetings
- Consult with teachers, families, and other specialists to address student needs
- Maintain compliance with state and federal special education guidelines
- Travel between school sites within the district as needed
