Pediatric School Speech Therapist | Cicero, Illinois
Make a meaningful impact in an Early Learning setting, supporting young learners as a dedicated Speech-Language Pathologist. This full-time contract position offers you the opportunity to work 35 hours per week, providing high-quality speech and language services to students in a supportive educational environment. The role caters to professionals holding either their Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY).
Preferred skills and experience:
- Valid Professional Educator License (PEL) is required and must be in hand
- Background working with pediatric populations, especially within schools or Early Learning centers
- Experience supporting diverse language, speech, and communication needs
- Collaborative spirit and excellent communication skills
Role responsibilities:
- Delivering direct speech-language therapy and interventions to a caseload of students
- Conducting assessments, developing individualized education plans (IEPs), and monitoring progress
- Participating actively in multidisciplinary teams, collaborating with teachers and families
- Keeping accurate records and documentation in line with school, district, and state guidelines
- Supporting ongoing program evaluation and best practices in speech-language pathology
