Make an immediate impact supporting students’ communication and language development in a dynamic elementary school setting. This contract opportunity is ideal for an SLP-CCC or SLPA skilled in providing direct therapy and consultation in a school environment. The assignment begins as soon as possible and is scheduled through early December, with the possibility of extension.
What You’ll Bring:
- Missouri-issued, active SLP or SLPA license
- ASHA Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC) preferred for SLPs
- Experience providing speech-language services in schools
- Comfort managing diverse caseloads, including 1st, 2nd, and 5th graders, as well as students in cross-categorical settings
- Flexibility to adapt to changing needs and schedules
- Strong interpersonal skills for collaboration with students, teachers, and staff
What You’ll Do:
- Deliver direct and consultative speech-language therapy to approximately 37 students, with a manageable supplemental consult caseload
- Conduct in-class language groups every Tuesday in the FIT classroom
- Coordinate with teachers for support in cross-categorical and resource rooms
- Provide support to students in 1st, 2nd, 5th, and specialty classrooms, including early childhood and transitional grades
- Participate in school routines: morning car rider duty and afternoon dismissal, ensuring student safety and smooth transitions
- Complete documentation in compliance with district and state requirements
- Attend virtual interview as part of the application process
