Pediatric School Speech Language Pathologist (SLP) | Bloomfield, Iowa

This assignment starts around August 23 (flexible, based on familiarity with Iowa IEP and ACHIEVE system). Your schedule will follow school hours, working Monday-Thursday from 8:00 am to 4:00 pm, and Fridays from 8:00 am to 3:30 pm. Most staff complete their academic year duties by Memorial Day weekend, providing a predictable and work-life balanced calendar.
Qualified candidates may demonstrate relevant experience in the following areas:
- Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) - CCC or Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY)
- Experience with teletherapy and in-person pediatric SLP services
- SLP and SLPA backgrounds within school and healthcare environments
- Occupational Therapy (OT) services, school-based or pediatric-focused
- Strong documentation skills, ideally with knowledge of the Iowa IEP and ACHIEVE systems
- Commitment to evidence-based, student-centered interventions
- Collaborative mindset for working with educators, families, and multidisciplinary teams
- Active state certification/licensure as required for OT, SLP, or SLPA roles in Iowa
Your responsibilities will include:
- Providing speech, language, or occupational therapy services to students in various school settings
- Conducting assessments and contributing to IEP development and implementation
- Participating in team meetings and maintaining accurate, timely records
- Coordinating with educators and families to maximize student achievement
